MLM Sponsoring Tips Hotsheet #1

"Sponsoring Tips From A Master Recruiter"

Hotsheet #1
Tuesday 1:11 pm

Subject: Sponsoring & Mindset

Sponsoring quality prospects is one of the biggest challenges faced by network marketers. Not because it's hard... but because it's rarely taught.

As a result, most networkers who "make it" in our industry learn to
sponsor through trial and error. Unfortunately, very few go on to achieve mastery and enjoy the level of success they might otherwise have reached.

Fact is, sponsoring is a skill you can learn.

No one is born a natural recruiter, and while some may learn faster than others even slow learners can achieve mastery.

I should know.

You see, while others around me were successfully signing people into their business, I struggled well past my first year. In fact, I nearly quit but instead I began developing a strategy for attracting and sponsoring high quality prospects into my enterprise.

Things turned around and over a period of months I went from "mlm failure" to becoming the #1 recruiter in a company with an average start-up cost of $400.00, out-sponsoring every single one of the six and multiple six figure earners in my upline.

The turn around was so dramatic, I was repeatedly "cornered" by my upline and crossline colleagues wanting to know how I did it. How I was consistently sponsoring so many high quality prospects onto my team. (At my peak, as many as 20 + per month).

Well, you're about to find out through my weekly sponsoring tips. Not only what I did... but what you can do to improve your sponsoring results in your business.

In this, your first MLM Sponsoring Tips Hot Sheet, I want to share something that can instantly impact your sponsoring success. I want to lay a foundation. A foundation called: Mindset

Trust me. When it comes to sponsoring, MINDSET reigns supreme!

I have many strategies & tips to share with you in the coming weeks and months, but for them to work they must be applied with the proper mindset.

It's what separates the amateurs from the pros and the good news is: mindset is something you can rapidly develop even if you're just starting out, and I'm going to tell you exactly how to do it!

First, let's take a moment and define "mindset" as it applies to sponsoring.

Mindset is simply your "state of mind" (what's going on in your head) when you're speaking with (or writing to) a prospect.

It's what you're saying to yourself... and the good news is, with a little practice it's easy to control it and make it work for you (rather than against you).

Let me explain.

Many people approach prospects with the wrong mindset. They're thinking: "gee, I hope this guy will be interested in what I have to say", or "I hope I can get this gal into my business".

Not good.

You see, your prospect will instantly sense your desperation.

And it gets worse: many networkers actually verbalize these thought and say things to prospects like: "Joe, will you do me a favor and look at my opportunity"?

What?!?

Think about it. Why should THEY do YOU a favor?

Such an approach virtually insures you'll fail.

Here's a better way:

Instead of thinking "gee, I hope I can get this guy"... try adopting a mindset like: "is this someone who deserves my time?"

Instead of: "I hope I can get this gal for my business", you want to be thinking something like this: "if this gal qualifies, she's going to be very glad she met me."

When speaking with prospects, NEVER ask someone: "will you do me a favor?"

Why the heck should they?

Instead, your mindset should be: "Dave, you're a sharp guy and someone I feel I could work with. I'm going to DO YOU A FAVOR and give you access to some information. Take some time this afternoon and review it carefully, and let's talk again this evening".

Your mindset should always be: you've got the cookie (that is to say, you've got what they need - i.e. your product, your service, your opportunity that can change their lifestyle), and your prospect needs you more than you need them.

You see, no matter how many (or few) people you have in your enterprise you must NEVER come across desperate. If you do, your prospects will sense it and run!

So, how do you avoid coming across desperate?

Simple.

Stuff LOTS of prospects in your pipeline. How many? More than you can possible call or visit on any given day or week.

Keeping your pipeline full insures that no one prospect becomes so important that you project NEED or desperation.

There are many places to find/develop high quality prospects for your venture both on and off the net, and I'll be revealing them in upcoming hotsheets.

When it comes to mindset, remember this: you have the cookie!

In your next hotsheet , I'll tell you how to make your prospect "reach for it".

Until next time,

Mark Wieser
